Merry Maids Gaithersburg
Merry Maids of Gaithersburg has been family-owned and operated since 1988. Bob and Pat Mascari, raising three sons and two daughters in Rockville, made family their priority. When there was an opportunity to purchase a Merry Maids in Rockville, it was not a hard decision for Bob and Pat. Their family values were aligned with one of Merry Maid’s key values - creating an environment of trust, dignity, and compassion for employees and customers.
The culture of prioritizing family, employees, and customers appealed to Betsy, one of Bob and Pat’s daughters and a local realtor. She helped launch their first Merry Maids. Shortly after, Tom, the oldest son, working at an accounting firm, and Rob, a recent graduate of James Madison University, were also drawn to the Merry Maids culture. They bought their first franchise in Gaithersburg. Tom and Rob were culture-driven too and committed to understanding the needs of employees and customers. Bob, Betsy, Tom, and Rob merged their franchises to work together as a family and extend those family ties to their Merry Maids family of employees and customers.
The Mascari family offered flexible work schedules, a safe and respectful work environment, birthday, anniversary, and holiday celebrations, open communication, competitive benefits, and recognizing employees’ hard work. Equally for customers it was important for the Mascari family and staff to demonstrate a commitment to quality, exceptional customer service, schedule flexibility, customers’ needs, and use safe environmental products and equipment. The ultimate goal being to build and achieve trust and loyalty from their extended employee and customer families.
The Macari family remains committed to their extended Merry Maids family of employees and customers 37 years later providing respect, dignity, and compassion.
