Dallen Peterson founded Merry Maids over 40 years ago in his home in Omaha, Nebraska. He (along with his family) began by personally cleaning the homes of clients so he could develop firsthand experience on how to deliver excellence. 

The company grew quickly, opening dozens of franchises in the course of a few years, and was acquired by ServiceMaster in 1988. Over the following decades, the company grew to its current state of over 500 locations across North America.
