Terms and Conditions – North America

We promise to deliver exceptional service in every interaction and are committed to your complete satisfaction. Merry Maids® independently owned and operated franchise teams strive to create an experience worthy of a 5-star rating. If you are not completely satisfied with cleaning services, notify the location providing your cleaning within 24 hours of the completion of the cleaning, and they will gladly return and make it right at no additional charge. Details, including scheduling the return visit, will be coordinated directly with the location providing original service.  
 

How the 5-Star Promise works 

  • Merry Maids independently owned and operated franchise teams strive to create a 5-Star experience  
  • If you are not completely satisfied with cleaning services, notify the location providing your cleaning within 24 hours of completion 
  • Notification example: Cleaners leave the home at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, client has until 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, to notify local Merry Maids of dissatisfaction to be eligible for recleaning  
  • Merry Maids will work with the client to collect details and schedule return visit on an agreed upon date 
     

Disclaimer of Certain Warranties 

As a service company, Merry Maids only warrants services with the “5-Star Promise.” Independent franchise owners expressly disclaim any warranties, to the fullest extent permitted by law, regarding the reliability, quality, or performance of third-party materials or goods utilized with our services. 

Exclusions 

The “5-Star Promise” is subject to the following exclusions:  

  • Services you request to be re-performed that were not originally agreed upon. 
  • Losses or inability to perform due to acts of nature or other force majeure events. 
  • Losses or inability to perform caused by you or a third party. 
  • Losses or inability to perform resulting from manufacturer or product defects. 
  • Losses or inability to perform due to unforeseen or hidden property defects. 
  • Services requested for re-performance that haven't been fully paid for. 
     

Limitation of Liability

To keep professional services affordable, Merry Maids limits liability. Unless the law specifically prohibits it, franchise owners aren't responsible for a wide range of potential issues. This includes losses or claims from: 

  • Personal injuries or property damage. 
  • Defective products or their failure. 
  • Actions or inactions by you or others. 
  • Lost use, profits, or business opportunities. 
  • Any other indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, consequential, or punitive damages. 

State-Specific Information: 

Because some states don't permit these liability limits, this section might not apply to you, and you may have more rights. If Merry Maids liability can't be fully limited as described, then your sole compensation from Merry Maids franchises will be capped at the total amount you paid us for the services.
