At Merry Maids of Daytona Beach, our story is built on a love for community, a respect for tradition, and a commitment to service. Our owner, Fred Surgeon, has strong personal ties to the Daytona area. Over the years, Fred and his wife, Anita, have traveled many times to Daytona Beach to experience the thrill of the Daytona 500, often staying at their favorite spot, the Daytona Speedway RV Park, just a stone’s throw from the excitement of the Speedway and the beauty of the beach.
As a proud minority business owner and graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, Fred brings the values of hard work, family, and giving back to everything he does. Since opening our Daytona Beach office in June 2015, we have proudly served local families, combining trusted Merry Maids quality with a deep appreciation for the special spirit that defines Daytona.
Our Daytona Beach office and all our sister locations are proudly guided by Saddie Lowry, whose two decades of Merry Maids experience ensure that every customer receives care, consistency, and a personal touch.
Giving Back Through Every Home and Every Heart
Merry Maids of Daytona Beach is proud to be part of the Sweet Valley Ranch Gives Back Program, founded by Fred and Anita Surgeon in 2021. Through Sweet Valley Ranch, a nationally known 300-acre working farm and home of the popular Dinosaur World attraction, our team has helped raise over $220,000 for charitable causes, including national partnerships like Habitat for Humanity. Our passion for giving back also extends to environmental stewardship, demonstrated by Fred’s leadership in rehoming over 2,000 iguanas after they were outlawed in Florida, offering them a safe future at Sweet Valley Ranch.
In addition to our commitment to broader causes, we are especially proud of our local impact. In 2021, Merry Maids of Daytona Beach was honored as Cleaning for a Reason’s #1 Partner Nationwide for Most Patients Served, offering free home cleanings to more cancer patients than any other cleaning company. Serving our neighbors in their times of need is one of our proudest accomplishments and a true reflection of our values.
